How Community Driveways works

1. Create a verified account

Registration takes an email address and a mobile number. We send a one-time code to each one, so both have to be in your possession before the account is active. Phone verification also covers booking confirmations later on — message and data rates may apply, and you can reply STOP at any time to opt out.

2. Find and join your community

Search by state, then city, then community. Joining is instant — pick your HOA, condo board or block association and it is added to your list of communities. If your neighborhood is not there yet, you can create it; new communities are reviewed by a Community Driveways administrator before they go live. You can leave a community at any time from the directory.

3. List a space, or book one

Hosts enter the street address, choose a daily, weekly or monthly rate, set how many parking spaces are available at that address, and build an availability window with start and end dates and times. The listing fee is $3 per space, paid once when the listing goes live, and the form shows the running total as you add spaces along with an estimate of what the window could earn.

Renters browse their community in either a list view or a map view. Each booking decrements the spaces left for that day; when they are all taken, the address shows as full and no further bookings are accepted. Hosts can require a printable parking permit, which the renter generates from the booking and places on the dash.

4. Pay and get paid in the app

Renters confirm the booking with a code sent to their mobile number, then pay through the app — no cash, no chasing a neighbor for a check. Hosts track pending, in-progress and completed rentals in one place. Payouts are subject to a $1.25 bank processing fee, which is shown on the host's earned balance.
